The Bures

The Bures

Beachfront Bures

Ideally located a short stroll from the main lodge, each Beachfront Bure features a king bed, a common area to gather with family and friends, an ensuite bathroom, and a lush outdoor shower. Enjoy the sand between your toes the moment you step out of your Bure or sit on your private deck and enjoy the view.

The Beachfront Bures are topped with soga palm roofs and are shaded by greenery and fruit trees. Wake up to the sound of the ocean waves and count the fish leaping out of the water.

There are two Beachfront Bures in the Oneta Collection, Vesi Bure whose name derives from a native hardwood tree and Shark Alley Bure named after a well-known local dive site.

Oceanview Bures

Perched idyllically on the hillside behind the resort, the two Oceanview Bures enjoy a beautiful view of the ocean, the vast Astrolabe Reef, and the islands that stretch beyond Ono. If you have any issues walking or climbing stairs, these bures might not be for you because you are to climb around 90 steps to get up to these beautiful places, but for most of our guests, it is well worth the climb.

Each of the Oceanview Bures has a king bed, ensuite bathroom, and a beautiful private outdoor shower. A large porch offers one of the best spots to enjoy the ocean view. A steady ocean breeze also makes these bures very comfortable during the hotter summer months.

The Villas

The Villas

On the north side of Oneta Beach is the old village, “Koromakawa” in Fijian. It is named that because there is evidence of a previous settlement that may date back hundreds of years. Walking down the beach at Koromakawa we have found small pottery shards that might even be thousands of years old.

Two luxurious villas sit on a small bluff in this secluded area of the resort with lovely views of the ocean and their own private beach area.

The villas are large with plenty of space to make yourself at home. They also have their own private WiFi connection and the Spa is nearby.

We find that most Oneta guests choose to have their meals at the main lodge to enjoy time with other guests, but we can also set up private dinners upon request for villa residents.

Villa Lailai

Enjoy an amazing view of the ocean from the large deck of our two-bedroom Villa Lailai. The plunge pool at the edge of the deck is filled with fresh water from our very own spring. Want to cool off in some pure Fiji water? Here’s your chance! Prefer a salty swim? Take a couple of steps down to the beach for a quick dip in the ocean.

Each of the two bedrooms in Villa Lailai has a king bed and there is an elegant but cozy living room. The well-appointed bathroom includes all the Oneta amenities including our signature outdoor shower. Villa Lailai is the perfect place to live in comfort while exploring the wild beauty of the island.
